The Mont’e Prama hero which skull was recovered from the Necropolis of Mont’e Prama, together with the shocking Nuragic stone statues called “Giants of Mont’e Parma” has now got a face:
A 20/25 year old strong man with no bird and two beautiful braids falling along his chest. To reconstruct his face the most sophisticated techniques from forensic medicine to  bioarchaeology have been used. The operation was funded by the Sardinian University of Sassari and has also involved the Face Lab of John Moores University of Liverpool.

The Monte Prama necropolis dates back to the first iron age and has an extraordinary importance to understand the different civilizations that were in Sardinia before Christ. Individual burials of young men of an upper class, led to think that this necropolis could have been a place of hero worship.
