Product Description
Tiscali village is a small karst landscape situated at the heart of the Supramonte mountains in Dorgali, on top of which a sinkhole formed, after the roof of an ancient cave collapsed. Archaeologists believe that in the Late Nuragic period, a village was built inside the sinkhole and the ruins can still be seen today. The village is hidden from view until visitors enter the sinkhole. The micro-climate, atmosphere and the relief of the limestone in the cave make this an entirely unique and unforgettable experience.
Your tour will start in Dorgali by Land Rover and continue across the valley of Lanaittu. Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, participants will walk down a panoramic path, accompanied by a guide until they reach the archaeological area. At the end of the guided tour of the village, you will be provided with a packed lunch to refuel before starting the journey back to Dorgali. Lunch and entrance fee are included.
Actual walking time is 3 hours. Departure is at 9.00 and return at about 16.30. Participants should wear trekking shoes and bring a back pack and bottle of water. The excursion will run with a minimum of four people, therefore you may need to be flexible with dates in the low season.
