Arrive in Cagliari. Transfer to hotel. Time at leisure and overnight.
Today you will enjoy a visit to the colourful San Benedetto Market where your expert food guide and nutritionist will lead you on a tasting of local delicacies and crudities and help you select some of the ingredients that you will use during your cooking class.
We will then move to a nearby village to meet a family of farmers who grow organic fruits and vegetables and will have the chance to pick some vegetables or seasonal fruits. Lunch.
In a private traditional house, you will have fun learning how to make Sardinian fresh pasta and, depending on time, you could take a walk to view some of the most surprising wall graffiti for which San Sperate is so famous for.
Dinner will be served with the dishes you cooked before returning to the hotel for your overnight in Cagliari at the Boutique Hotel Miramare.
Today we will travel to the inner Sardinia and visit an olive oil grinding mill where you will meet the owners, take a tour and enjoy their aromatic extra virgin olive oils on mother yeast bread.
The morning will continue visiting a beautiful wine cellar, awarded with several prizes for their “full-bio” wines. You will take your time and taste three wines to delight your palate.
Lunch will follow at S’Apposentu in Siddi by the Michelin starred chef “Roberto Petza. A charming setting and a delightful menu will welcome you.
No visit to this area could be completed, without paying a visit to Su Nuraxi Nuraghe. An impressive fortress going back to the bronze age, that is the most complete and representative example of a complex Nuraghe and as such, was declared a Unesco World Heritage site in 1997. If time and weather allows it, you will be lead for a walk to the Jara Park with its beautiful wild little horses.
Transfer to Oristano / Sinis Peninsula for overnight at Aquae Sinis or Residenza d’Epoca Regina d’Arborea.
In the heart of the Sinis Peninsula, still stand the ruins of Tharros town, a Phoenician city set by sea from VIII BC, which you will visit with a local guide and take the opportunity then climb up to medieval tower overlooking this charming romantic bay.
From Tharros, you will be lead to the beautiful Seu natural Oasis for a relaxing walk of this wild setting. Lunch will follow at a Beach Falasco or a local restaurant depending on the season. Return to hotel to relax.
In the afternoon, you will discover the traditional rustic unfired-mud-brick cellars where you will have the chance to view a Bottarga making demonstration and taste some of the most beautiful vernaccia. Follows an unformal dinner with the wine cellar owners accompanied by the sound of Launeddas. Overnight at Aquae Sinis or Residenza d’Epoca Regina d’Arborea.
The day will start visiting the archaeological museum of Cabras and the stunning mysteries Nuragic statues called Mont’e Prama Giants, which were found not far from here in the 70’s.
We will then leave the Sinis Peninsula for the picturesque town of Santu Lussurgiu, the stronghold of Sardinia slow food with its “Bue Rosso meat” and “Casizolu cheese”. A visit through the narrow cobbled lanes of the medieval centre will be followed by visit to a “Casizzolu Cheese Grotto”.
The morning will end with a fine lunch at the Antica Dimora del Gruccione including the “Bue Rosso” and other slow food delights.
After lunch you will board the bus for Oliena, via the town of Orgosolo, where we will stop for a tour of its so famous “murales”. Finally, we will continue reaching Cala Gonone for the dinner and overnight at Nuraghe Arvu Hotel.
A boat tour along the Orosei Gulf is a memorable experience but yours is even more special as you will spend a day with the fishermen on a small motor boat. You will be blown away by the incredible views and listen to legends and anecdotes’ as the creels are pulled on board. A fresh as you can get lunch will be cooked on board with the catch of the day and time on the beach for sunbathing and swimming will be allowed (depending on the season).
In case weather conditions were not suitable, or if you did not fancy a boat trip, a jeep excursion to the Supramonte visiting mountains, woods, ancient shepherd huts will be arranged.
Free time for independent dinner. Overnight at Nuraghe Arvu Hotel in Cala Gonone.

Reservation terms and conditions:
The Sardinia Gourmet Tour departs with a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 12 at each date.
The reservation must be made within 45 days from tour departure for the tours of June, August, September and October and within 60 days in advance for the tour of July. We require a 40% deposit for booking.
On the expiry date (45 and 60 days in advance), we will confirm if the minimum number of 10 persons has been reached for the departure, and if so, we will require you to pay the balance. If the minimum number was not reached, the deposit will be paid back to your account, unless you wish to join another departure or pay a supplement to run the tour with lower numbers or privately.
Once we confirm the tour, in case of cancellation from your side between 30 to 15 days before departure for the June, August, September and October tours we will retain 40% of the participation fee (deposit). From 14 days prior, until the day of departure 100% cancellation fee will apply.
In case of cancellation for the tour of July, from 60 to 15 days before departure we will retain 40% of the participation fee (deposit). From 14 days, prior, up to the date of departure, 100% penalty fee will apply.
